Biography
Dr. Lina Zhao received her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Physics (2000) and obtained her Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics (2005) from Beijing Institute of Technology. From 2005 to 2007, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at State Key Laboratory for Artificial Microstructure and Mesoscopic Physics in Peking University. After her postdoctoral research, she joined Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore as a Research Scientist working in the joint project between NTU and Atomistix Pte. Ltd. for two and a half years. Her recent research interest is the mechanism of nano-bio effects with multi-scale theoretical methods including nanoparticle-protein interaction for cancer inhibition nanomedicine development, novel ligand based nanoprobe design for important protein targeting detection and nanotoxicity origin of nanomaterial in cell. She is also interested in using deep learning method to study the nano/bio interface effects mentioned above based on big data. Published >50 peer-review SCI scientific papers and one coauthored book in English, with citation by >3,000 times in international journals. She has directed 3 research projects from NSFC, and 1 subproject from MOST973. She is the deputy editor of J. Nanosci. Lett.. She won the ACS Nano Youth Scientist Award in 2016.
